Streck to present new data at AACR
Streck will present data on our new and innovative blood collection tube, RNA Complete BCT®, at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting II. The virtual meeting will be June 22-24 and is free to attend with registration.
RNA Complete BCT is a direct draw blood collection tube that maintains draw time concentrations of both cell-free RNA (cfRNA) and extracellular vesicles (EV). The tube maintains both of these critical populations for up to 7 days at room temperature, maximizing plasma yield and minimizing hemolysis during the storage time. The following posters and a short audio description from the authors will be available online from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT during the conference.
Stability of draw time microRNA concentration in blood collection tubes
In ePoster #4831 titled “Stability of draw time microRNA concentration in blood collection tubes,” Streck R&D scientist Dr. Eunju Seong discusses plasma microRNA, which has drawn attention for its potential implication as biomarkers of various disease conditions. In this study, they found that the Streck tube minimizes the in vitro changes of microRNAome, thus facilitating detection of microRNAs after storage for up to 7 days.
RNA Complete BCT: A novel blood collection tube targeting circulating RNA and extracellular vesicles
In ePoster #759 titled “RNA Complete BCT: A novel blood collection tube targeting circulating RNA and extracellular vesicles,” Dr. George explains that donor specimen integrity is a significant hurdle in making liquid biopsy testing with EVs and cfRNA commonplace. Results from the study showed Streck RNA Complete BCT will allow for delayed sample processing without effect on sample integrity or downstream analyte analysis.
RNA Complete BCT is Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures in the U.S. A CE version of these tubes is also available. RNA Complete BCT CE is for Export Only. Not for sale in the U.S.
